Securing and Modernizing Ballpark Operations for a Professional Baseball Club

Case Study — Sports & Entertainment

At A Glance

This professional baseball club runs a busy ballpark operation where the point-of-sale system, front office and game-day operations all depend on infrastructure that has to work on game night. Across a long-standing relationship, the club has engaged AIS for enterprise-grade security, cloud migration and end-user hardware.

The Solution We Delivered

AIS implemented Managed Detection and Response and managed risk services across the club’s environment, deploying a network sensor and agents on every server and workstation, and unifying telemetry from endpoint protection, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and network security into one monitored view, with security awareness training for front-office staff. AIS then migrated the club’s domain controller and point-of-sale database server to Azure, deploying a Meraki virtual appliance for secure SD-WAN connectivity between the ballpark and the cloud, and validating through user acceptance testing. A phased refresh of 20 staff machines followed, staged and swapped user by user around front-office schedules, with pre-configured spares left ready for future hires.
