LAMONT HATCHER
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Lamont completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in 1995, where he earned a B.S. in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. He began his IT career as a Document Processing Specialist for USA Track & Field and within a few years’ time grew to the VP of Technology for an enterprise level IT firm while simultaneously working as the IT Director for Memorial Clinic of Indianapolis. In 2012, he took a risk and started his own company (AIS) with a mission to help SMBs better understand and implement technology solutions to help them grow their businesses and achieve their goals/missions more effectively through the use of technology. AIS has seen tremendous growth. As the company has scaled, Lamont has been intentional on how he builds his team. He develops others, instilling in them the desire, duty and passion for personal growth and philanthropy.STEVE SUMMERVILLE
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Steve Summerville is the COO of AIS and has been in the IT business since 1980. He is a graduate of Washburn University in Kansas. He began his career with International Business Machines as an intern and progressed to a Sales capacity. Prior to working with AIS, Steve worked with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Sungard Recovery Services, Xerox Corporation, Professional Data Dimensions (PDD), and the Brookfield Group. Throughout his career, he has been a top performer, earning President’s Club and Chairman’s Club honors for outstanding achievements in various organizations. His role centers on building and sustaining honest, lasting relationships and on developing value propositions that put the client’s interests first.CHRISTOPHER GUNN
VICE PRESIDENT OF ENTERPRISE RELATIONSHIPS
Christopher Gunn is Vice President of Enterprise Relationships for AIS. He attended Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, FL, and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. Upon graduation, he began his professional career at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN. He has held leadership positions at companies such as Elanco, BCForward, and ITLogica. Mr. Gunn is a past multi-term President of the Indianapolis chapter of the Florida A&M University (FAMU) Alumni Association, and the former Vice President of Strategy and Planning of BDPA Indianapolis. With more than 30 years of IT experience, Mr. Gunn brings that depth to his work at AIS and to the standard the company holds itself to.
Position: scale is a staffing decision, not a service tier
We do not run a tiered model where small clients get junior staff and large clients get the real team. The same architects and engineers work every engagement, which is why our capability does not thin out as the contract does. That is a deliberate choice, not a coincidence of how we happened to grow.
Our Story
How AIS Got Started
AIS was founded in Indianapolis in 2012 on a simple premise: technology partners should be judged on outcomes, not on activity. Fourteen years later, that premise has not changed, even as the work has grown from managed IT into cybersecurity, cloud, data analytics, AI and enterprise consulting.
We have been recognized five times as an MSP 501 honoree, four times on the Inc. 5000, and three times on the CRN Top 500 MSP list. In 2026, BDPA named AIS the recipient of the Earl A. Pace, Jr. Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence in Technology.
None of that changes what the work actually is: understanding what an organization is trying to do, and building the technology that lets it do that without the technology becoming the story.

The depth behind a complex regulated environment is the same depth behind a single-site organization.
Evidence beats intention.
A security posture you cannot demonstrate is not a security posture. We build for audits, examinations and procurement review, not for reassurance.
Automation before AI.
Most AI initiatives fail because the data and process discipline was never built first. We start there, whether or not the engagement is ever labeled an AI project.
Local relationships, enterprise delivery.
We are based in Indianapolis, we answer the phone for Indiana businesses, and we are accountable to the community we work in. That does not mean smaller capability. It means the same capability with people who are actually reachable.
